Rebecca West Burns, Ph.D. is the Dean of the College of Education at Kutztown University. Her community-engaged scholarship is situated within clinically based teacher education where she studies supervision, school-university partnerships, and teacher leadership. Burns is a nationally recognized leader in teacher education, having served in leadership positions for the National Association for Professional Development Schools, the American Educational Research Association Professional Development Schools Research Special Interest Group and Supervision and Instructional Leadership Special Interest Group and the Council of Professors of Instructional Supervision. She also has received national recognition for her exemplary school-university collaboration and impact on urban education. Burns has authored and co-authored more than 60 publications, including four books, and has given more than 130 presentations in local, state, regional, national and international contexts.

Michael Cosenza, EdD, is a professor in the Graduate School of Education at California Lutheran University. He serves as the Chair of the Department of Learning and Teaching and is the director of the TEAMS (Teacher Experiences Advancing Mathematics and Science) program, which is an NSF funded residency program for preparing teachers in the STEM subjects. He is also the director of the PDS-Residency Program collaborating with a network of five P-12 schools. Outside of his university roles, Dr. Cosenza also serves as the executive director of the National Association for Professional Development Schools, vice-president of the California Council on Teacher Education and treasurer of the California Association of School-University Partnerships. Dr. Cosenza’s career includes teaching in both the P-12 and university settings. His expertise and research interests include professional development schools, P-12 school-university partnerships, teacher residency programs, and teacher leadership.

Janna Dresden, Ph.D., is Clinical Professor Emeritus from the University of Georgia (UGA) and currently serves as co-editor of The Cambridge Handbook of School-University Partnerships and co-chair of the publications committee of the National Association for Professional Development Schools. Reflecting her deep commitment to integrating theory and practice, Janna has alternated between roles in academia and in environments of practice throughout her more than 40 years in education. She taught for 10 years in Title I elementary schools and also worked as an after-school director and preschool teacher. Janna held faculty positions at Northern Illinois University, Auburn University, and George Mason University and served for 11 years as founding Director of the Office of School Engagement at UGA.

Joseph Feinberg, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of social studies education at Georgia State University. Joe recently served as chair for the American Educational Research Association Professional Develop Schools (PDS) Research SIG, founding board member and treasurer for Southeastern Association of School-University Partnerships, and president for the Georgia Council for the Social Studies. Southeastern Association of School-University Partnerships (SASUP) is affiliated with NAPDS and provides resources, professional development, and advocacy for the southeastern region. Prior to joining the faculty at Georgia State University, Joe taught social studies at Campbell High School in Smyrna, GA. As a teacher, he received the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award from Campbell High School, which recognizes excellence in humanitarian service to the school and community. Joe also received the Gwen Hutcheson Outstanding Educator Award through Georgia Council for the Social Studies in 2016.
