We have partnered with our friends at Upbeat to establish the third cohort of the National Working Group on Teacher Retention, and you are invited to join! As the demand for teachers continues to outpace supply, retention of current teaching staff is critical to your organization's success. Over the next year, this group of two dozen individuals from across the country will share and discuss mutual topics of concern, as well as a myriad of potential solutions, with guidance and support from staff from Upbeat and AAEE.

By signing up for the National Working Group on Teacher Retention, you would be agreeing to:

  • Attend the kick-off activity as part of the AAEE 2021 annual conference; please note that paid AAEE conference registration is a prerequisite for participating in the National Working Group on Teacher Retention
  • Attend bi-monthly virtual working group meetings centered around a problem of practice and become part of an online community with goal of supporting each other's goals on teacher retention
  • Participate in a Summer 2022 virtual convening (June or July) to discuss key learnings from SY21-22 and develop plans for SY22-23
  • Attend the AAEE Annual Conference and Education Career Fair in Fall 2022 to review the successes and key learnings of the working group. The working group will share key data and outcomes from their work at a conference presentation.

Only 25 Spots!

Once the 25 spots have been filled, your registration will be placed on a waitlist, and you will be contacted in the event that one of the previously registered participants can no longer participate.
